Chefs in Schools

This new initiative is changing the conversation about school meals, demonstrating how caterers can provide fresh, nutritious food on a budget and how healthy eating and cooking can be integrated across the curriculum.

Jamie Oliver visited Gayhurst Primary School in London to see Chefs in Schools in action in a recent episode of Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast. The programme is available to watch on Channel 4’s website until 20 January.

Beyond Food Foundation

The Beyond Food Foundation does fantastic work giving people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness training in a professional kitchen and the skills necessary to gain employment. Simon Boyle, the charity’s founder, spoke about the programme and the challenges of getting referrals in a recent interview on London Live television.
